Which software can be used to make 3D models?

There are plenty of software out there, both commercial and open-source ones.

If you are new to 3D modeling, we suggest starting from one of the below software, which have friendly interface and are capable to build simple models quickly.

And trust me, after you are more familiar with the tools, you will definitely want more tools to play with. At the moment, jump to more professional software.

1. Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor and Creo Parametric (Pro/E) are often used by
engineers for product design and can provide accurate modeling.

2. Zbrush, Blender, SculptGL are popular among artists, and are capable of producing
more fluid 3D design.

3. OpenSCAD is a code-based CAD software, which offers a different interacting way
from above software.

What should be cared when making your own model

After printing everything you can find online, maybe you will want to try to make your own model. In this article, we would like to offer some tips so your model can be printed easier for FLUX.

The key to making perfect printable model is to avoid overhang and support. Though FLUX can deal with extreme overhang, it can still likely cause distortion when printing, and if used, support will inevitably leave marks after removing.

So when you are designing your own model, try to keep the overhang angle as small as possible, or keep a “base” side, which you don’t really care the quality of this side, and when printing the model with this side at the bottom the overhang will be diminished.
